Why can't we do the things which we are supposed to?
Hi All,
This is my first post. And this is not about Plants. I only want other people in this world to think more positive towards their morale duties. I will certainly take an example of the city where I live in, which is Delhi, India. We say, Delhi is so hot, the weather is uncertain here. And further more, we curse Global Warming. But hang on, what do we really do to stop Global Warming?
Do we switch off the Engine on the Red Light?
Do we try to save Electricity?
Do we switch off the lights when we are not in the room?
Do we ever think if we spend less water, another person can be benefited from the saved water?
Do we feed plants?
I feel, lot of Delhites don't do all these things. I know, if I go straight to persons and ask the questions written above, they will definitely say Yes we do save everything and helping in keeping the Environment clean. If you ask me, I would also lie because I don't want to be ashamed in front of anybody for the acts which I don't do. But current situation is not about caring what other think about us, but it's about shaking your own self esteem and think whether we really help our economy or not. I can tell lie to others, but I cannot lie to myself so I would rather like to be responsible to myself and not others.
Every person has some moral duties, which he/she may or may not do. And most of the times, we don't. We spit on the road, we spread litter on the road. If somebody cleans it, we laugh at him. Because we have developed that kind of attitude over a period of time. We care if someone is laughing at us or not, but we don't care if someone is spitting on the road or not. Why?
I went to Metro Rail yesterday, there, I heard an announcement "People are requested not to sit on the floor in Train", and then I saw a few college boys were actually sitting. I asked them if they didn't hear the announcement, then they started arguing. No one around me came in front to help me out. Reason, they don't want to. If someone is fighting, they don't care. Even though "that someone else "is fighting for the right purpose.
The motive of this post is to lift people's morale up. People should think what is right or wrong from their own perspectives and not from other's perspectives. We should do our work, without caring if someone else is doing his/her part or not. If everyone will think that the other person will do, then no one will come upfront and start it.
One plus makes two and two plus one makes three and so on...... makes it thousands, and millions. So it always starts from someone. I am the one who has started it. So I am looking for number two. I am sure, it's no one else, its "U". Please come forward and lets start do the things which are actually right.
So going forward:
No Spitting
No Littering
No Electricity Wastage
No Water Wastage
No Petrol Wastage
No acts which we should not do.
